Our economies no longer rely on employing people to create goods that have a value, but instead offices full of mindless drones producing worthless programming and applications that benefit no-one and hasten the decline of society. Technology that could be used to improve the human condition is instead producing juvenile, distracting narcissistic amusements. Genuine artistic talents are mocked by programmed games that delude the user into believing they are creating art or music. The "Age of Information" does NOT generate knowledge or wisdom, just technobabble and gossip.
